Dr. Jain is a Co-founder of CasNx. He is also the Shah Rising Star Professor and Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Florida. Previously, Dr. Jain served as a Research Scientist in the lab of Prof. Sangeeta Bhatia at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has filed/issued 40+ patents, licensed a technology, secured $17.8M grants from NIH, CDC, USDA, industry, and published 25+ high-impact publications on developing novel diagnostics and therapeutics. He received his PhD University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Bachelors of Pharmacy degree from Dr. Hari Singh Gour University in India.
Piyush K. Jain, PhD
Dr. Shah is an assistant professor of surgery in the University of Florida Division of Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Surgery. He received his medical degree at Saint George’s University School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at Lincoln Medical Center in the Weill Cornell Medical College Department of Surgery. Subsequently, he completed two fellowships in abdominal transplant surgery and advanced abdominal minimally invasive transplant surgery at the Miami Transplant Institute – an affiliation between Jackson Health System and University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. There, he was awarded Outstanding Fellow of the Year.
Rushi Shah, MD
Dr. Rananaware recently graduated with a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida. Prior to joining UF he worked for a year as a guest researcher at CSIR-National Chemical Lab in India. Before that he completed a dual degree comprising of Masters in Physics + Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from BITS Pilani K K Birla Goa Campus in India.
